This one-day course is for all members and covers the inclusion of trans and non-binary, gender reassignment and gender diversity.

In this training session, we:

  • set the wider context for trans and non-binary identities - how sex, gender and sexual orientation interact;

  • explore key terms, including gendered pronouns;

  • build confidence using trans and non-binary inclusive language;

  • offer basic grounding in the laws that protect trans people’s rights in the workplace, including the Equality Act 2010, Gender Recognition Act 2004;

  • begin to explore how an organisation can ensure it is being trans- and non-binary inclusive;

  • explore practice scenarios tailored to your workplace; and

  • signpost to a wide range of resources.
