If you are considering leaving the Union, please email our Membership Team. We have many ways to help resolve your issues.
You may be considering leaving the NASUWT for a variety of reasons, including retirement from teaching, leaving the profession or other personal reason. There may be occasions when you find your work situation in a precarious position and therefore question whether you can afford to be in the Union.
We completely understand that many teachers are currently facing financial hardship: this is why the Union froze its membership subscriptions for five years.
It is also important to remember that it is at these very times of uncertainty within the education system your membership of the NASUWT becomes more important than ever.
If you are considering leaving the NASUWT for this reason, or because you are experiencing any dissatisfaction with your membership, we would like to hear from you to see if we can help to resolve your particular situation.
Please email the Recruitment Team in the first instance.
If you are leaving the profession, you can terminate your membership by emailing notice of resignation to the Membership Team. Please note that subscriptions are not refundable on resignation from the Union.
Retired membership is available for those members entering retirement and wanting to maintain a link with the Union. If you are planning to take a break from teaching, we offer Career Break membership. Please email the Membership Team.
