This two-day course will equip both previously trained NASUWT Workplace Representatives and newly appointed NASUWT School Representatives, with the skills and knowledge required to undertake their role in the present educational climate. The course has been specifically designed and written to reflect the ever-changing requirements of trade union representatives in the workplace. The course can be delivered either via a face-to-face environment or through an online medium such as Zoom.
Subjects covered include an introduction to trade unionism, teachers' terms and condition, the role and rights of NASUWT School Representatives, trade union organising, equality and health and safety.
For Workplace Representatives considering caseworker status, completion of this course is an essential requirement.
